The prevention of the terrorist act took place in September, at the preparation stage. The suspects were detained, and an investigation is currently underway.
Additionally, in September and October, eight citizens of Kazakhstan were arrested on suspicion of promoting terrorism as part of criminal cases. The statement also noted that information about the progress of the investigation is not subject to disclosure.
During the same months, six individuals were sentenced for terrorist and extremist crimes. Since the beginning of the current year, 89 people have been sentenced to imprisonment, among whom six are citizens of other countries.
