Among the numerous decrees issued by Serdar Berdymukhamedov, significant attention is drawn to the changes in the highest organs of power, including vice-premiers and heads of security agencies. In a short period, three deputy prime ministers were replaced: Mammetkhan Chakiyev, Bayramgul Orazdurdiyev, and Batyr Amanov were succeeded by Batyr Annaev, Batyr Mammedov, and Guvanch Agajanov, respectively.
No less important changes affected the ministries: new heads were appointed to the ministries of health, environmental protection, and food industry. Most of the former officials left their positions due to retirement or changing jobs.
The security agencies were also not left out of these changes. Nazar Atagarayev, who held the position of Minister of National Security, was relieved of his duties, and his place was taken by Dovletgeldi Meredov. A new Ministry of Automobile Roads was also established in the country, headed by Hangeldi Kerimov. Changes also affected the regions: mayors of the largest cities, such as Turkmenbashi, Turkmenabat, and Mary, were also replaced.
