According to local residents, several explosions were heard before the fire broke out, after which a large fire ignited at the station.
The "Kaleikino" station is a key facility of JSC "Transneft — Prikamye" and serves as an important transport hub that receives and mixes various grades of oil from Western Siberia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, and Bashkortostan. Here, oil is stored in tanks and pumped through main pipelines, including towards the Nizhnekamsk refinery and for export.
