As a result of the incident that occurred against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict between the USA and Israel with Iran, several F-15 fighter jets crashed in Kuwaiti airspace. The crews managed to eject and were transported to medical facilities, as reported by a representative of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense. Their condition is stable, and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is currently underway.

It was later revealed that three American aircraft were mistakenly shot down by Kuwait's air defense system, according to a statement from American military officials.

Iran, for its part, reported conducting attacks on the American airbase "Ali al-Salem" in Kuwait and on naval vessels in the Indian Ocean, in response to the death of the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, due to military actions by the USA and Israel.

“The missile forces of the ground and naval units of the army struck the American base 'Ali al-Salem' as well as enemy ships in the northern part of the Indian Ocean,” reported from Tehran.

On the same day, another incident occurred in the capital of Kuwait: after an alarm signal, smoke was seen near the American embassy. Firefighters and ambulance crews arrived at the scene, as reported by Reuters citing eyewitnesses. Official confirmations of airstrikes from the American diplomatic mission and the State Department are currently absent.

According to AFP, smoke was also observed over a power plant in northern Kuwait. On the same day, debris from the aircraft fell on the "Mina al-Ahmadi" oil refinery, resulting in injuries to two workers; however, the production facilities were not damaged.

On the morning of February 28, Israel and the USA struck targets in Iran. US President Donald Trump announced plans to destroy the nuclear program of the Islamic Republic, urging the Iranian army to lay down their arms and the people of the country to "take their fate into their own hands."

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, at least 555 people were killed as a result of these strikes. The death of Iran's supreme leader Ali Khamenei and several high-profile military officials has been confirmed, including Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh, Chief of Staff Abdulrahim Mousavi, and Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour.

In response to these events, Iran attacked Israeli territories and other countries in the Middle East, and an Iranian drone struck a British airbase in Cyprus.
