According to Senator Blumenthal, at a recent Senate meeting held behind closed doors, he felt a growing concern about the possible deployment of American troops in Iran.

A member of the Armed Services Committee, he told reporters: "I am more afraid than ever," emphasizing the lack of clear answers from the U.S. administration regarding its priorities.

Blumenthal also expressed doubts about the ultimate goals of the operation, questioning whether the efforts are aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear capabilities, eliminating its missile infrastructure, regime change, or combating terrorist activity. There is no clarity on these issues.

Furthermore, the senator criticized the level of secrecy, stating that the U.S. administration should share more detailed information with the public rather than limiting itself to closed briefings for lawmakers.

It is worth noting that on February 28, the U.S. and Israel began a large-scale military operation against Iran, aimed at preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons. U.S. President Donald Trump announced intentions to destroy the Iranian navy and defense industry, as well as calling on Americans to overthrow the regime.

On the night of March 1, Iran reported the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

According to media reports, the missiles are targeting not only military facilities but also civilian infrastructure both in Iran and in other countries in the region. In response, Tehran is attacking Israeli territory as well as American bases in the Middle East.
