Wang Yi stated the necessity of ending military actions in the Middle East, noting that the crisis cannot be resolved through force. He emphasized that the use of violence only exacerbates hatred and intensifies the complex situation in the region. The Foreign Minister added that the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of all Gulf countries, including Iran, must be respected.

The Chinese diplomat expressed dissatisfaction with the abuse of power and stressed that peaceful civilians should not become victims of conflicts. Wang Yi also called for a cessation of interference in the internal affairs of countries in the region and for the resumption of negotiations.

According to him, major powers should take a more active role in ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East. Beijing is ready to cooperate with the countries of the region to implement global security initiatives.

It is worth noting that on February 28, the United States and Israel began a joint military operation against Iran, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as confirmed by both Reuters and Iranian state media. In response, Tehran launched missile strikes and drone attacks on Israel, as well as on American bases and facilities in other countries.

Against the backdrop of the escalating conflict, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has been virtually paralyzed, leading to a sharp rise in oil prices.
