On March 14, North Korea launched about ten ballistic missiles towards the Sea of Japan

According to a statement from South Korean military officials, "unknown ballistic missiles were launched from the Sunan area in North Korea towards the East Sea at around 13:20 local time (04:20 GMT)."

Earlier the same day, Seoul reported the launch of at least one "unidentified projectile" towards the sea.

Japanese authorities also confirmed information about the launch of an object that is believed to be a ballistic missile.

In comments regarding the first launch, South Korean military officials noted that the projectile was directed towards the eastern coast, while the Japanese side added that it likely fell into the sea.
