The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, along with the non-governmental organizations "Mongolian Business Council" and "Mongolian Nature Protection Organization," have signed a cooperation agreement to implement the program "National Green Laboratory."
According to the terms of the memorandum, the parties agreed to work together within their areas of expertise to attract funding for projects and initiatives aimed at protecting the environment and transitioning to a "green" economy. This process will involve not only citizens and NGOs but also representatives of the private sector.
The Minister of Environment and Climate Change noted that the program aims to fulfill Mongolia's goals in the context of its contributions to achievements it wishes to leave on the international stage during the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, as well as during its two-year presidency. He also emphasized the importance of increasing funding for environmental initiatives by engaging government agencies and other development partners.
