According to reports from Iranian and Israeli media, Iranian military forces launched missiles at the southern Israeli city of Dimona, which houses a strategically important nuclear facility. Reuters reports that dozens of people have been injured as a result of recent attacks in southern Israeli cities located near Dimona.

According to The Jerusalem Post, missile fragments fell in the Negev and western Galilee following the operation of the Israeli missile defense system. The publication also noted that while the building sustained significant damage, a direct hit by a missile has not yet been recorded.

The Iranian agency Tasnim claims that the missiles allegedly overcame Israeli air defense and reached their target, without specifying which facility is being referred to.

Earlier, on March 4, Reuters reported that Iran threatened to attack the nuclear facility in Dimona in the event of attempts to change the regime in the country.

Furthermore, Reuters points out that Iran is using missiles with cluster warheads, which complicates the operation of the Israeli missile defense system.
