According to information from Reuters, Trump had previously mentioned the possibility of easing tensions in the conflict, but the escalation of the situation forced him to issue a new ultimatum to Iran. Due to attacks and threats from Iran, movement through the Strait of Hormuz has become difficult, raising concerns about a global energy crisis.

The Strait of Hormuz plays a critical role in global energy, as about 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies pass through it. In light of the current crisis, gas prices in Europe surged sharply last week.

Iran, for its part, reported that the strait is open for navigation, except for ships from countries that Tehran considers hostile. Iranian authorities link the normalization of the situation to the cessation of attacks from the U.S. and Israel.

In response to these events, Israel announced its intention to increase the number of strikes on targets in Iran. Earlier, Reuters reported that as a result of missile attacks from Iran, areas in the Israeli cities of Dimona and Arad were affected, injuring dozens of people. Israeli military officials acknowledged that some of the missiles could not be intercepted.

It is also noted that a secret Israeli nuclear reactor is located near Dimona, and both Dimona and Arad are close to military sites, including the Nevatim airbase.
