
The official meeting between Lukashenko and Kim Jong Un took place at Kim Il Sung Square. According to the agency, the ceremony included the playing of the national anthems of both countries, cannon salutes, and greetings of the delegations, as well as the participation of a cavalry unit and an honor guard.
Lukashenko arrived in North Korea for an official visit on March 25. Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov noted that during the meeting, a treaty on friendship and cooperation would be signed, and about ten various agreements are expected to be concluded.
Previously, Lukashenko and Kim Jong Un met at a parade in Beijing in September 2025, where the North Korean leader invited the Belarusian president to visit his country at any convenient time.
