Esmaeil Baghaei, a representative of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reported that Iranian authorities have completed the preparation of a response to the mediators' proposal regarding a ceasefire with the United States, as conveyed by the IRNA agency.
Although he did not disclose details, Baghaei noted that information will be provided at the appropriate time.
“We have recorded a set of demands based on our interests, which we had and still have,” he stated in a conversation with journalists. “Since the discussions began, we have already formulated our responses,” he added.
According to information from Axios, the US, Iran, and a group of mediators are negotiating a 45-day truce that could mark the beginning of a final cessation of hostilities. According to Reuters, Pakistan has proposed that the parties agree to an immediate ceasefire, unblock the Strait of Hormuz, and then move towards concluding a comprehensive peace agreement.
