In Cameroon, the world's oldest president has been re-elected for a new term.
Paul Biya, who has held the presidency of Cameroon since 1982, has once again won the election, receiving 53.66% of the votes, according to results published by the country's Constitutional Court. The elections took place on October 12, and, according to the rules, the Constitutional Court had 15 days to finalize the results. The electoral commission noted that the voting was conducted peacefully.
