The investigation revealed that he was creating artificial queues at the checkpoint, after which he regularly received monetary rewards through intermediaries for ensuring the unhindered passage of foreign citizens across the border.
Moreover, according to information from GKNB, the detainee provided protection to certain individuals engaged in illegal activities at the border. He is currently placed in the temporary detention facility of GKNB.
The agency also reports the continuation of active investigative and operational actions aimed at identifying other officials involved in this crime. In addition, work is being done to improve conditions for the safe and comfortable crossing of the state border by all citizens.
