The incident occurred on January 30, when a citizen named D.T., born in 1994, approached the police department of the Issyk-Ata district. He reported the actions of an unknown individual who, on January 19, 2026, began correspondence with him, posing as a buyer. The fraudster, taking advantage of D.T.'s trust, managed to acquire 15 heads of sheep without paying for them. As a result, the man suffered a loss of 435,000 soms.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (Fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. During operational-search activities, the suspect was detained — a 28-year-old citizen, Sh.Sh., born in 1995. It has been established that he resold the stolen animals and spent the proceeds on his personal needs. The investigation is ongoing.
