The Alaman Ulak Turned into a Dump: Organizers Fined, Cleanup Underway

In the Uzgen district, after a large-scale alaman ulak event, numerous cases of unauthorized waste dumping were observed. The area where this public gathering took place became heavily polluted, attracting the attention of regulatory authorities.

According to information from the Osh regional office of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service, official notifications were sent to the local administrations of Bash-Dobo and Tort-Kul, demanding cleanup and remediation of the pollution consequences.

Additionally, one of the organizers, Zhanish Niyazov, was fined 5,500 soms under Article 115/1 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, the cleanup of the area is being carried out in cooperation with the organizers, local residents, and representatives of the authorities. The process includes garbage collection, waste removal, and restoration of sanitary conditions at the site.




The Ministry of Natural Resources has strongly urged event organizers to strictly adhere to environmental standards, emphasizing that such violations harm the surrounding nature and have negative consequences for local communities.
