A resident of the city contacted the police on January 27, describing prolonged psychological and physical abuse by her husband.
Despite previously issued restraining orders against him, the man continued to stalk and beat the woman.
This fact was recorded in accordance with Part 3 of Article 138 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, born in 1977 and known as M.D., was arrested by the Department of Internal Affairs and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
