In the village of Poltavka, an incident occurred in which a man attempted to kill his elderly mother. The event took place on the night of December 28 to 29, when he, having suffocated the woman with a pillow, tried to commit the crime while she was asleep. However, the mother was able to resist, after which the son began to strike her on various parts of her body. This information was reported by the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region.
After the incident, the victim reported to the police, resulting in a criminal case being opened under Article 138 (Torture) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigative activities, law enforcement officers examined the suspect's correspondence with his wife on WhatsApp and found messages where he openly expressed his intention to kill his mother.
The detained individual turned out to be a 42-year-old citizen, J.S., who was placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with the provisions of Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The district court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of a two-month arrest.
All necessary examinations have been appointed within the framework of the case, and the investigation is ongoing.
