A man suspected of cruel treatment towards his mother has been detained in the Chui region.
According to information provided by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region, on December 29, 2025, a woman named Zh.A., born in 1985 and a resident of the village of Poltavka, reported to the Internal Affairs Department of the Jayil district about the criminal actions of her brother — Zh.S., born in 1981, who attempted to harm their mother — Zh.M., born in 1950, on the night of December 28 to 29, 2025.
According to the investigation, while she was sleeping, he attempted to strangle the woman with a pillow. When Zh.M. resisted, he began to strike her on various parts of her body.
The fact of this incident was recorded, and a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Article 138 (Torture) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, messages from the suspect Zh.S. in WhatsApp were analyzed, where he expressed his intention to kill his mother — Zh.M., while communicating with his wife A.G.
According to Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zh.S. was detained as a suspect and placed in a temporary detention facility. The district court decided to arrest him for two months.
All necessary examinations have been appointed within the framework of the criminal case. The investigation is ongoing.
