In Bishkek, police officers arrested a suspect who is apparently involved in a series of pickpocketing incidents that occurred on buses along route No. 135. This information was confirmed by representatives of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate.
A woman named Zh.I. filed a report with the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, stating that her mobile phone was missing. She requested that measures be taken against the individuals who stole her property.
The incident occurred on February 5, 2026, at 5:30 PM, when the complainant boarded bus No. 135 while at the Osh market. Upon reaching Lavanovsky Street, she noticed that her iPhone 16 Pro was missing.
A criminal case was initiated regarding this incident under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities conducted by the Main Internal Affairs Directorate, A.A. was detained, who had previous convictions and was registered as a pickpocket. The suspect was taken to the investigative department of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department and, in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, was placed in a temporary detention facility in Bishkek.
During the investigation, it was revealed that he sold the stolen mobile phones at the Osh market. During a search, more than 60 phones were seized, including the complainant's phone.

The Lenin District Court of Bishkek decided to remand the suspect in custody for two months in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
