A resident of the capital contacted the police after an incident that occurred on January 30 around 8:00 PM. At the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Shopokov Street, her iPhone 17 Pro Max was stolen. The woman suspected two young men and attempted to catch up with them.
This case was registered under Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Bishkek City Police were able to apprehend the suspect in the Talas region. He turned out to be A.B., who had previously been registered as a pickpocket. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the suspect had been following the victim while she was trying to catch the other suspects.
