The incident occurred on December 28, 2025, when one of the city's residents contacted the police. She reported that at the Alamedin market, her underage daughter had her mobile phone stolen from her jacket pocket.
This case was registered in accordance with Article 205 ("Theft") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, a suspect named A.K., born in 1998, was detained. During the investigative actions, it was revealed that he, along with an accomplice A.Z., born in 2001, was selling the stolen phones at the Osh market. Both suspects were placed in a temporary detention facility.
Additionally, searches were conducted at the "Besh-Sary" shopping center, resulting in the discovery of more than 20 smartphones. It was also established that the detainees may be involved in other similar thefts.
