He offered bars weighing 100 grams each
A man has been detained in Kyrgyzstan for attempting to bribe a security service representative with gold bars. This was reported by the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
According to the agency, the incident occurred on February 23, 2026. A citizen named "D.R.E", born on May 2, 1978, attempted to hand over two gold bars weighing 200 grams to an SCNS officer as part of operational search activities, offering them as a bribe to resolve issues related to a criminal case.
The detained individual was placed in the SCNS temporary detention facility.
