On February 5, a resident of the capital contacted law enforcement, stating that on January 7 he transferred $23,500 for the purchase of a "Gelandewagen" vehicle with the condition of subsequent registration. However, despite the transaction, he received neither the car nor a refund.
The case has been registered under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.
The suspect, I.M., born in 2002, was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is currently underway.
