As Aydarbekov noted, more than half of the imprisoned Kyrgyz citizens in Novosibirsk have been convicted of drug-related offenses. The others have been convicted of crimes such as rape, robbery, theft, fraud, and a number of other offenses.
Additionally, the Consul General reported that in 2025, 131 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic were extradited, and in 2024, 38.
Of the total number of 17,791 Kyrgyz citizens in Novosibirsk, 4,624 individuals are listed in the registry of controlled persons. Aydarbekov added that 9,038 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have been removed from this registry.
