In Bishkek, a mass poisoning has been recorded, resulting in 20 people seeking medical assistance at the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. This was reported by the chief physician Gulzhigit Aaliyev.

According to him, 19 of them were hospitalized, while one patient is receiving outpatient treatment.

“The condition of most of the victims is assessed as moderate. One of the patients, aged 34, is in serious condition and has been placed in intensive care. His condition has slightly improved, and after examination, a decision will be made regarding his transfer to a ward,” noted Gulzhigit Aaliyev.

All the victims are receiving the necessary medical care.

It was previously reported that the sick individuals had eaten food from the "Buffet" cafeteria.

In connection with this, specialists from the sanitary-epidemiological service conducted an unscheduled inspection of the establishment and collected product samples for laboratory testing.

As a result of the inspection, a protocol was drawn up regarding the identified violations, and a fine of 23,000 soms was imposed on the cafeteria. A notice was also issued for the temporary closure of the establishment starting from March 11.

It is worth noting that this concerns the branch located at: Bayitka Baatyra Street, 18.
