Three suspects were detained in the Chui region on suspicion of preparing for a robbery.
According to information provided by the press service of the regional police department, the incident occurred on February 18, 2026. At approximately 11:00 PM on the bypass road of the Kemin district, police officers prevented a criminal act. The suspects, identified as D.A. (born in 2001), Zh.A. (born in 1998), and D.K. (born in 1997), acted with prior agreement and, according to the investigation, planned to commit a robbery using a Makarov-type pistol. They were traveling in a "Lexus" vehicle.
The investigation established that the criminals arranged a meeting with an acquaintance under the pretext of selling gold jewelry. Threatening with an object resembling a pistol, they attempted to seize his money. However, their intentions were thwarted by the police.
An initial investigation has been launched, resulting in a criminal case being opened under Articles 36 and 207 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (preparation for robbery).
The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and necessary examinations have been appointed. The investigation is ongoing, and the actions of the individuals involved will be assessed from a legal standpoint based on its results.
