Refined Data on the Number of Mobilized Citizens of Kyrgyzstan at the Front During the Great Patriotic War
In accordance with the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Temir Sariyev, the Department of Defense, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Situations of the Government Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, clarified the data on participants of the Great Patriotic War who were called up from the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the Great Patriotic War, 365,000 people were mobilized to the front from Kyrgyzstan, of which;
- about 114,833 people died;
- 73 people were awarded the highest honor — the Gold Star and the title of Hero of the Soviet Union;
- 22 people became holders of the Order of Glory of three degrees.
