In the podcast "Kabar Podcast," the mayor of Kant, Ulan Mailibashev, shared the achievements and current directions of the socio-economic development of the city. He emphasized that Kant, which has been one of the industrial centers of Kyrgyzstan since Soviet times, continues to demonstrate stable economic results. "Our successes in sports are also impressive. There are many football players in Kant, and we have the largest number of football fields in the country. Major tournaments, intergenerational games, and training camps are held here," he noted. The mayor also added that other sports such as volleyball, basketball, and dance are actively developing.
Kant can confidently be called a city of youth: over 5,500 students are studying at one of the local universities, and there are two universities in the city. Additionally, according to Mailibashev, a significant number of foreign students study here, which adds dynamism and an international character to the city.
