Measures are being taken in Bishkek to control meat prices to ensure food security in the country. As part of these efforts, field meetings were held with the participation of representatives from the city hall, the antimonopoly service, law enforcement agencies, and major meat product retailers.

According to information from the press service of the State Committee for National Security, since August 11 of this year, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has introduced state regulation of meat prices, setting a maximum price of 790 soms per kilogram.

During meetings with entrepreneurs, the importance of adhering to the new regulatory norms and preventing artificial price inflation on meat products was emphasized.

In cases of detected instances of artificial price increases and violations of established state regulations, violators will be held accountable in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
