Representatives of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (GKNB KR), together with the Bishkek city administration, the antimonopoly service, and law enforcement agencies, conducted on-site inspections at major points of sale for meat products. As reported by the GKNB press service, these measures are aimed at ensuring food security and monitoring compliance with state price regulation for meat.

Since August 11, 2025, state price regulation for meat has come into effect in Kyrgyzstan, according to which the price of meat should not exceed 790 soms per kilogram. This regulation will be in effect until the end of the year, that is, until December 31.

During discussions with entrepreneurs, emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to state regulation norms and preventing artificial price increases for meat products. The GKNB also emphasizes that violations of price regulation and artificial price increases for meat will be subject to penalties in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The GKNB KR reminds that any actions aimed at undermining the pricing policy in the meat product sector may lead to criminal liability.
