As part of his working visit to Kyrgyzstan, the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Masato Kanda, held a meeting with Deputy Mayor Ramiz Aliyev and familiarized himself with the operations of Electric Bus Depot No. 2. The capital's mayor's office reported that the main goal of the visit was to study the technical capabilities and infrastructure of electric buses, which were purchased as part of the "Electrification of Urban Transport" project.
During the event, the director of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport," Talant Kaparov, presented the participants with details of the project, its key components, and the current state of implementation. Participants were shown photographs of various stages of depot construction, a 3D animation of the "Pilot Green Corridor," as well as a training simulation designed to prepare electric bus drivers.
The delegation's visit also included familiarization with the infrastructure, charging stations, and new features of electric buses that provide inclusive opportunities for passengers with disabilities.
