In Kyrgyzstan, the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) has identified and halted a corruption scheme organized by employees of the Department of Population Registration of the Ministry of Digital Development (currently the State Enterprise "Kyzmat"), who acted in collusion with representatives of state enterprises and intermediaries.
According to GKNB reports, during operational activities, it was established that among those detained were the former director of the Department of Population Registration A.T.J., the chief specialist of the Public Service Center of the Pervomaisky District of Bishkek P.A.T., as well as the leading specialist of the Oktyabrsky Public Service Center of Bishkek A.M.M., an employee of the State Enterprise "Kyrgyz Post" T.A.Sh., and intermediary M.A.K. These individuals created a system that allowed them to illegally obtain money from citizens, including foreigners, who sought public services at the Public Service Center.
According to preliminary data, intermediaries found clients and offered "services" for expedited processing of documents, guaranteeing quick results and no queues. For such "services," they requested compensation ranging from 100 to 10,000 US dollars, depending on the complexity of the services provided. The funds received were then divided among the participants in the scheme.
All detained individuals have been placed in the temporary detention facility of the GKNB, and the investigation is ongoing.
