33 Cases of Hong Kong Flu Registered in Bishkek

According to the press service of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center, 33 confirmed cases of Hong Kong flu H3N2 have been registered in Bishkek.

Laboratory tests showed that out of 368 tests conducted, 33 returned positive results for this strain of the virus.

Since the 45th-46th week of the current year, there has been an increase in the number of cases. Specialists advise following simple recommendations: wearing protective masks, regularly washing hands with soap or using sanitizers, ventilating rooms, avoiding crowded places, and maintaining a distance of at least 1.5 meters.

H3N2 is a strain of the influenza A virus, known as Hong Kong flu, which causes seasonal epidemics.
