Modern challenges in agriculture require specialists to have deep knowledge in areas such as biology, chemistry, genetics, robotics, information technology, and ecology. The Russian agricultural education, referenced by the press service of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan, is among the best in the world.
The Russian government has allocated 700 budget places for students from Kyrgyzstan, of which 16 are designated for studies at universities under the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. These quotas cover bachelor's, specialist, and master's programs available for high school and university graduates.
Kyrgyz citizens can apply for studies at the following educational institutions:
Belgorod State Agricultural University, Kostroma State Agricultural Academy, Moscow State Agricultural Academy named after K. Timiryazev, Saint Petersburg State Agricultural University, Ural State Agricultural University (Yekaterinburg), Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin.
Bachelor's programs offer fields such as "Landscape Architecture," "Economics," "Food Products from Plant Raw Materials," "Animal Products," "Horticulture," "Biotechnology," "Agronomy," as well as the specialty "Veterinary Medicine." For master's students, programs are available in "Construction," "Animal Husbandry," and "Forestry."
Education in these programs is free, and scholarships and accommodation in dormitories are provided for students. One significant advantage of the quota system is the ability to participate in the competition and submit documents without leaving Kyrgyzstan. All stages, including application submission and entrance exams, are conducted online. Applicants can choose up to six universities based on their preferred specialties in order of priority.
