Located in the Leilek district, Jayloo Karymai is one of the largest pastures.

According to local residents, this place once belonged to a wealthy man named Karymai, which is how the area got its name.

Zhooshbay Karimov, a local resident of the village of Margun, shares that "the cave of Karymai" is considered one of the significant pastures in this region. "This wealthy man lived two centuries ago. He had such a vast number of livestock — sheep, horses, cows, and bulls — that the entire pasture was occupied by his animals. Nevertheless, it was not enough for him, and he sought to expand his lands to increase his herd. However, one harsh and prolonged winter, due to a lack of feed, all his livestock perished. According to legend, almost the entire territory of the pasture was filled with the corpses of animals. Since then, this place has been known as 'Karymaiydyn üŋkürü' [sheepfold in a natural shelter in the mountains]," Zhooshbay Karimov recounts.
