Due to violations of environmental standards, two companies in Bishkek have temporarily suspended their operations. This information was announced by the press service of the municipal inspection of the city mayor's office.
Inspection specialists went to the sites after receiving numerous complaints from residents concerned about the thick black smoke rising from the enterprises' premises.
The company OsOO "Bekpr," which produces bread and flour products with a short shelf life, received an order to install filters within 15 days.
As for OsOO "Bars Ayu," which produces non-metallic mineral products, protocols were drawn up against it under Articles 240 and 434 part 1 of the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, which pertain to violations of pollutant emission rules and failure to comply with a lawful order, respectively. The fine for this enterprise amounted to 41,000 soms.
Both companies will not be able to resume their activities until all identified violations are rectified.
