The city hall continues a comprehensive work on cleaning the rivers and canals of Bishkek

As part of the capital's beautification program, the Bishkek city hall has completed the first phase of work, during which the riverbeds of the Alamidin and Ala-Archa rivers were cleaned. As a result, 107 thousand tons of garbage were removed, according to the press service of the city hall.

Currently, active bank reinforcement measures are underway, which represent a complex technological process requiring careful preparation, which, in turn, increases the time for their implementation.

To ensure the free flow of water bodies and prevent flooding, work is being done to eliminate illegally constructed objects along the rivers and canals. To date, about 300 such structures have been dismantled, and work continues.

Among the first completed beautification projects, one can highlight the promenade located in front of the "Alga" sports complex, which is situated between Y. Abdrakhmanov and Usenbaev streets. Work is also ongoing in the area around the technical channel of the CHPP.

The Main Department of Urban Planning and Architecture of Bishkek has developed sketch projects for the beautification of coastal areas. Currently, project and estimate documentation is being developed. After its completion, the implementation of projects in all planned areas will begin.
