The inspection of meat prices and quality at the Osh market has become a common task, involving the First Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing, Zhanibek Kerimaliev, along with representatives from the capital's mayor's office, the Antimonopoly Service, and "Kyrgyz Agroholding."
During the inspection, both the quality of the offered meat products and compliance with sanitary standards were analyzed, as well as the pricing policies of the trading points. The ministry also held discussions with sellers and buyers to gather complete information about the current situation and market needs.
At the Osh market, a social store operates, where fresh meat is delivered daily at prices significantly lower than the average market rates. This initiative aims to expand access for the population to quality meat products and enhance social support measures.
Kerimaliev noted that the ministry is actively working on stabilizing prices for food products in various regions of the country and aims to provide citizens with affordable and safe products. He also emphasized the intention to continue developing the network of social trading points and strengthen support for domestic agricultural producers.
