The opening of a monument dedicated to the creators of the iconic series "Seventeen Moments of Spring" took place on the territory of the Gorky Film Studio in Moscow.

The ceremony, timed to the 105th anniversary of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, took place in the square at the entrance to the studio. Sergey Naryshkin, the director of the SVR, participated in the event.

The sculpture, created by Andrey Kovalchuk, depicts a moment of the creative process: director Tatyana Lioznova discusses a scene with Vyacheslav Tikhonov, who played the role of the spy Maxim Isaev-Shtrilts. The composition also includes the figure of Julian Semenov, the screenwriter, who, according to the sculptor's idea, observes what is happening.

"Seventeen Moments of Spring" is a Soviet 12-episode television series that premiered in 1973, based on the novel of the same name by Julian Semenov. It remains one of the most beloved series among viewers.
