The demolition of emergency multi-apartment buildings will begin in Orlovka, according to the order of the presidential representative in the Chui region, Azamat Osmonov.
The buildings slated for demolition are located at: Metallurg microdistrict, house No. 8 and Chkalov street, house No. 61. Previously, these houses were under the management of the Kyrgyz Chemical and Metallurgical Plant (KHMZ), and the apartments were allocated to the workers of the enterprise. However, currently, most residents of these apartments have emigrated, and their whereabouts are unknown, leading to the underutilization of residential premises.
Local residents have repeatedly appealed to the authorities requesting the removal of dangerous buildings. They expressed concerns about animal corpses on the premises, unpleasant odors, and potential threats to children playing nearby.
Earlier, the Orlovka city administration prepared an estimate for the demolition of these buildings, which amounted to 14 million soms.
Now, the presidential representative has instructed the mayor of the city to gather all necessary documents and send them to the Chui region development fund for the organization of the demolition of the emergency houses. This decision is aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, protecting public health, and preventing possible emergencies.
