According to data presented by the developers of the new master plan, the green areas of the capital of Kyrgyzstan have decreased by 20% over the past seven years.

Irina Grishechkina, an architect from St. Petersburg and a member of the team working on the master plan, noted that the level of air pollution in Bishkek exceeds permissible norms by 3-5 times.

From 2014 to 2021, the area of green spaces in the city has significantly reduced.

Analysis revealed that residential buildings are located in 95% of sanitary protection zones.
