In Bishkek, the city hall decided to use funds that were initially planned for a corporate event to assist children with disabilities. This was reported by the press service of the city hall.
As part of this initiative, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev visited Special School No. 30, where he presented students with sports equipment that will help develop their physical skills and strengthen their health.
During the visit, the mayor congratulated the children and teachers on the upcoming New Year and invited them to the New Year tree organized by the city hall.
The mayor also familiarized himself with the learning conditions at the school, and as a result of the visit, it was decided to allocate funds from the reserve fund to create a medical office and purchase specialized equipment for medical and rehabilitation assistance.
It is worth noting that in honor of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Sverdlovsk district administration has already assisted the school by purchasing medical equipment, including a couch, an ophthalmological chart, and a cabinet for medications.
Special School No. 30, which has been operating since 1938, currently educates 288 children with disabilities.
