Delegate from the Lenin District, Zholdoshbek Turdubaev, noted that there is an increasing number of cases of violence against women in the country. He suggested limiting the participation of men in government structures who abandon their wives and children. Turdubaev emphasized that responsibility towards family should become an important moral criterion for those aspiring to power.
“The level of violence against women has increased recently. I believe it is necessary to prohibit men who leave their wives and children from holding positions in government bodies and being elected to the Jogorku Kenesh and local councils,” he added.
