The Ministry of Defense of Russia has for the first time showcased the 'Oreshnik'
For the first time, the Ministry of Defense of Russia has demonstrated the new mobile ground-based missile system 'Oreshnik', which has already begun its combat service in Belarus.

According to representatives of the ministry, the military personnel have undergone special retraining using modern simulators. All necessary conditions for carrying out combat duty have already been established, and the personnel are mastering new patrol routes.

It is worth noting that on November 21 of last year, Russia struck an important facility of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex in Dnipro, testing a new medium-range missile system. It was mentioned that when used in conjunction with this system, its impact is comparable to a nuclear strike, although it is not classified as a weapon of mass destruction.

In December 2024, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko appealed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin with a request to deploy the latest types of weapons, including the 'Oreshnik', on the territory of the country.
