In early January, they noticed preparatory work on the site, after which urban defender Iskander Burkanov confirmed the information about the demolition.
According to him, the building was removed from the register of architectural monuments in 2018. The procedure was carried out in accordance with the law: the residents of the building themselves approached the city hall requesting it to be recognized as emergency.
One of the property owners took several steps to remove the house from the list of monuments. As a result, he bought out all the apartments and became the sole owner of the plot.
Iskander Burkanov provided a copy of the prosecutor's response, which confirms the legality of the owner's actions within the framework of urban planning regulations.
Despite the fact that this building had historical value for local residents, it is no longer under state protection, which allowed the owner to proceed with its demolition.
