Throughout 2025, employees of the tourist-ecological police of the Issyk-Kul region, together with representatives of the Ton District Department of Internal Affairs, organized activities to destroy illegal fishing nets collected from the waters of the lake in the area.
As a result of these actions, numerous meters of synthetic nets, which cause significant harm to the ecology, were removed and destroyed from the shoreline and the water area of the lake.
According to the Interior Department of the Issyk-Kul region, the collected nets were sent to a special landfill of the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk," located in the Kün-Chyghys rural district of the Ton district, where they were disposed of in accordance with established procedures.
