The Ministry of Internal Affairs shared its official position regarding the video recording that has become the subject of active discussions on social media. The video captures the moment when a patrol officer pushes a citizen, causing the latter to fall onto the road.
As explained by the ministry, on that day, the police were ensuring a clear passage for the transportation of a person suspected of a serious crime, under the protection of armed officers. At that time, a temporary ban on the movement of vehicles and pedestrians was in effect; however, one citizen did not comply with the lawful request of the officer and attempted to cross the road.
According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the attempt to remove the man from the roadway, he lost his balance and fell. One of the passersby immediately came to his aid and escorted him to a safe place.
The agency called on citizens to maintain public order and comply with the lawful demands of police officers aimed at ensuring safety.
