In the Kara-Suy district, preparations for the irrigation systems for the 2026 irrigation season are currently underway. This was reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
According to the information from the ministry, work is being carried out in the region to clean, restore, and repair all irrigation channels. Silt and other deposits that hinder water flow are being removed from the riverbeds, and special equipment is being used to increase the capacity.
In addition, the dismantling of illegally constructed buildings along the channels is taking place, as well as the clearing of trees to free up water protection zones and the cleaning of adjacent areas. At the same time, hydraulic structures are being inspected, worn-out elements are being repaired, and renewal work is being carried out where necessary.
