A secretariat will be established in Uzbekistan to take on the functions of coordinating cooperation between the Central Asian states and China. This new structure will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of agreements, overseeing the execution of joint initiatives, and ensuring a continuous dialogue between the region's participants and the PRC. This was reported by Podrobno.uz.

The signing of the relevant law took place under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. This document was developed in accordance with the goals outlined in the Xi'an Declaration, adopted on May 19, 2023.

The ratification of this provision will allow Uzbekistan to participate more actively in regional integration processes, as well as to develop economic, investment, infrastructure, and transport-logistics connections, which in turn will lead to an increase in trade turnover between the countries.
